Outside the Canvas - Youth Art Class - for ages 13-18

Conceptual painting class with Deirdre Ear - this is an 8-week-long course, every Thursday, 7-9pm! Reg fee: $100 total

Begin a journey learning to express yourself,  ideas, and imagination through your art ! And learn some Art History too!

In this class youth will learn to create paintings and installations built around their own concepts and ideas. We will explore art history and how art got to where it is today, enriching a language and knowledge around their own work. 

We will explore questions such as: What is conceptual art? How did art get to where it is today? 

What is important to me as an artist and how can I share this with people? 

Technique and skill level - Beginner to Advanced

Smock/Apron/Painting Clothes strongly encouraged

Bring a sketchbook, preferably 8 x 10 or larger in size

Materials provided but artists are encouraged to bring anything they feel may enhance their piece, or own materials if they like
